Founded in 2004
Reefapalooza was started by the Southern California Marine Aquarium Society (SCMAS), a community of hobbyists passionate about reef-keeping. Initially, it was a small, local event designed to bring together members of the reef-keeping community, providing a space to exchange knowledge, trade corals, and purchase aquarium supplies.
Over time, Reefapalooza gained popularity beyond the local scene due to its unique focus on coral reefs and marine aquariums. As the reef-keeping hobby expanded, so did the event, attracting larger numbers of vendors, exhibitors, and attendees each year. Today, Reefapalooza is held annually in three key locations: Orlando, New York & California.
